As part of our SSDB journey, our children, families and educators participated in the SSDB Walkathon Carnival 2026, organised in partnership with The Preschool Market. A total of 20 families and 11 educators from our centre came together for this meaningful community event.
Starting from Marina Barrage, children walked alongside their families and educators in a 1.4 km community walk towards The Meadows at Gardens by the Bay. Through walking together, the children experienced the importance of staying active, supporting one another and being part of a larger community.
At the carnival finale, families enjoyed a variety of activities, performances and interactive booths that promoted healthy living, creativity, sustainability and community engagement. The experience provided children with opportunities to spend meaningful time with their families while connecting with the wider preschool community.
Through this shared journey, children learnt that caring can be shown in many ways—caring for their families and friends, caring for their community and caring for the environment. Most importantly, they experienced how small actions, when taken together, can make a bigger impact.
