🚀 Start Small Dream Big: Our World Water Day Launch! 🌊

“No one can do everything, but everyone can do something!”

We are thrilled to officially launch our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) journey for the year! In conjunction with World Water Day, our little environmentalists dived headfirst into learning about the importance of every drop through a series of meaningful, hands-on activities.

We kicked off our launch by reading "Saving Caleb," a wonderful story by PUB that introduced the children to the concept of water conservation and our precious water cycle.

To put our big dreams into small, actionable steps, every class from Playgroup to Kindergarten participated in age-appropriate sustainability exercises, showing that you are never too young to make a difference:

Playgroup (PG) & Nursery 1 (N1): Our littlest conservationists repurposed their water play water to give our school plants a refreshing drink! 🌱💦

Nursery 2 (N2): The N2 children learned about resourceful recycling by collecting nutrient-rich rice water to nurture our garden. 🌾🌻

Kindergarten 1 & 2 (K1 & K2): Taking on a bigger responsibility, the older children carefully collected their used handwashing water to flush the toilets, experiencing the true meaning of "water recycling" firsthand! 🚽✨

🎨 Turning Learning into Action To keep the momentum going, our creative K1 and K2 children designed beautiful "Save Water" posters. These weren't just for display—we intentionally pasted them inside the school toilets to serve as a daily visual reminder for all children to apply what they learned and practice mindfulness at the sinks! In addition, children's knowledge was put to the test as they completed the Water Wally Activity Sheets.

The energy stayed sky-high as we also danced along to the "Turn Off the Tap" song, using music and movement to reinforce these eco-friendly habits.

🏠 Partnering with Our Families Sustainability doesn’t stop at the school gates! To foster strong parental involvement, each child brought home a special water droplet template. Together with their parents, families co-created a "Save Water Pledge," extending our lessons into the heart of the home. This wonderful initiative allowed our children to become mini-ambassadors, educating their own families on the importance of saving water and using our resources intentionally.

This is just the beginning of our SSDB adventure! We are so proud of our newly minted "Water Heroes" and cannot wait to see how they continue to care for our community and the environment. Stay tuned for more updates on our sustainability journey!
