Reduce, food waste! Hmm..but how long does it take for the food to decompose?

The Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1 and kindergarten 2 children learned all about decomposition and how long waste takes to decompose. In addition to that, they learned that the natural process of decomposition turns organic materials like fruit and vegetable food scraps into earthy smelling material called compost, which is rich in nutrients and is great for garden, shrubs or even indoor potted plants.
