Everyone Fits In Here!

To demonstrate the importance and value of a close knit community, Greenland Childcare Centre decided to collaborate with All Saints Nursing Home nearby.

Together, around 50-60 seniors, staff, teachers, children and parents took part in an online Zoom session. During the session, both children and seniors shared their likes and hobbies with the rest of the group.

We then worked together to create a big art mural, that was later displayed outside our school. Each individual artwork was a puzzle piece that represented the artist’s feelings and favourite colours. We then we’re able to piece together the jigsaw with the heading “Everyone’s Fits In Here.”

We ended the session by singing and dancing for the seniors and then went and paid them a surprise visit. The children presented them with a big fruit basket to say thank you for their efforts.
