As part of our SSDB project on marine conservation, the children participated in two meaningful hands-on activities. In Activity 1: Save the Sea Creatures, the children rescued sea creatures that were “trapped” in rubbish and fishing nets. Through this experience, they learnt how marine pollution can harm sea creatures and why it is important to keep rubbish out of the ocean.
In Activity 2: Ocean Clean-Up, the children participated in a simulated ocean clean-up by removing rubbish from trays of water. As they collected the litter, they learnt about the importance of keeping our oceans clean and how their actions can help create a safer environment for marine life.
