Building on the children's growing understanding of caring for the elderly, our Nursery 2 children had the opportunity to celebrate Racial Harmony with the seniors from NTUC Health Senior Day Care Centre @ Kampung Admiralty through a meaningful intergenerational collaboration.
Leading up to the visit, the children enthusiastically prepared the materials for a collaborative artwork titled "Growing Together in Harmony" and dedicated time to practising their dance performances. The time and effort they invested reflected their dedication and teamwork as they looked forward to sharing this special experience with the seniors.
The visit came alive through cheerful performances, shared creativity, and heartfelt conversations. The collaborative artwork became more than just a creative activity—it became a symbol of connection, where children and seniors shared conversations, laughter, and moments of kindness while creating together. Throughout the session, the children demonstrated patience, respect, and genuine care, embracing the opportunity to build meaningful connections with the seniors.
The experience deepened the children's understanding that caring for the elderly is expressed through simple acts of kindness, respect, patience, and companionship. More importantly, it showed them that meaningful relationships can be built across generations, one shared moment at a time.
