Our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) adventure continues as we work together to keep Singapore clean and green! During the June holidays, our children met a very special environmental superhero through the story of Captain Green.
Through this engaging story session, our little ones embarked on a journey back in time to discover what Singapore was like in the past, learning how our island transformed into the lush, clean garden city we love today.
Following the storytelling, the children dived into the interactive Captain Green activity booklet, reinforcing important lessons on caring for our environment through fun, hands-on tasks:
📜 Discovering Singapore’s Heritage: Gaining a deeper appreciation for our island's history and learning why it takes everyone's effort to keep our city clean and vibrant.
🚰 Water Conservation Values: Revisiting key habits for saving every precious drop of water both at school and home.
☀️ Staying Cool & Safe: Learning practical, eco-friendly ways to stay cool during hot weather while remaining mindful of energy use.
🌏 Caring for Our Surroundings: Reflecting on how our daily choices directly impact the cleanliness of our shared spaces.
It is inspiring to see our children advocate for Captain Green’s message to their families: that anyone, no matter how small, can be a hero for our environment!
