As part of the final chapter of our SSDB journey, the children learnt about the importance of taking care of themselves and others through fire safety awareness.
SCDF volunteers visited our centre and explained the precautionary measures children should follow to prevent fire-related accidents. They also demonstrated the “Stop, Drop and Roll” technique, and the children practised the actions together.
The volunteers introduced the safety helmet and other equipment used by firefighters and explained their purposes. The children also had the opportunity to try on the firefighter’s helmet.
Through this engaging and hands-on session, the children learnt how to protect themselves during a fire emergency and how sharing fire safety knowledge can help keep others safe. This meaningful experience concluded our SSDB journey by reinforcing the values of care, responsibility, and concern for others.
