Intergenerational Programme and Food Donation Drive at St Luke’s Eldercare
As part of our SSDB project, “Kind Thoughts to Kind Deeds,” our centre organised a Food Donation Drive for the elderly at St Luke’s Eldercare. Children and families from Infant Care to K2 were involved in this meaningful initiative. Parents from PL125 generously donated food items such as Nestum cereal, Milo, crackers, oats and milk.
The children helped to sort and pack the donated items into bags before they were distributed to the elderly. Through this experience, the children learned that kindness can be shown through caring, sharing and helping others in the community.
During the visit to the eldercare facility, the K2 children also performed a Kindness Dance for the elderly, bringing joy and smiles to their faces. Other activities were also planned for the elderly and the K2 children to participate in together.
Our Branch Chairman, Mr. Daniel Liu, presented a bag of donated food items to a representative of the elderly and the staff of St Luke’s Eldercare. We sincerely thank our Centre principal, parents, children, teachers, Mr. Daniel Liu and St Luke’s Eldercare for supporting this meaningful initiative and helping us turn kind thoughts into kind deeds.
