In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, our N2 to K2 children came together for a community outreach project to spread festive joy and kindness to residents living in the nearby rental flats.

With the support of our parents, families contributed oranges towards the initiative. The children took an active role in packing the oranges and creating Chinese New Year wishes for the residents. Working together, they learnt to take responsibility for different tasks, practise teamwork and appreciate the value of contributing to the community.

The children then brought the packed oranges and cards to the nearby flats, where they distributed them to the residents and shared their festive greetings. The experience provided meaningful opportunities for the children to interact with members of the community and understand that even simple acts of kindness can make a positive difference to others.

Through this project, the children developed important values such as care, respect, kindness, sharing and gratitude. They also experienced the joy of giving and learnt that they can play a meaningful role in making their community a more caring and inclusive place.

This initiative allowed our children, families and school community to come together in the spirit of giving and caring, making the Chinese New Year celebration a meaningful experience not only for the children, but also for the residents in our neighbourhood.
