As part of Read for Good 2026, an initiative by the National Library Board (NLB), we organised daily reading sessions to nurture our children’s love for books and stories. Through reading together, the children not only discovered the joy of reading but also learnt the value of caring for the community, as their participation helped raise books for underprivileged children and beneficiaries.

The story revolves around the role and characteristics of a father figure. Through the child’s admiration for his father, the book celebrates his strength, confidence, humour, and loving nature. Using playful and imaginative descriptions, the child compares his dad to different animals and characters, highlighting the many wonderful qualities that make him special. The story presents a warm and humorous perspective of a father’s role while expressing a child’s love, admiration, and appreciation for their dad.
