Cultural Rajasthani Experience with Atam Ltd

On 6 May 2026, Khalsa Kindergarten was delighted to collaborate with Atam Ltd, a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving and celebrating traditional folk arts, with a special focus on Indian cultural heritage in Singapore. As part of this meaningful collaboration, Atam Ltd organised an enriching cultural workshop featuring a Kalbeliya dance instructor from Rajasthan, India. The workshop was attended by our Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1, and Kindergarten 2 children, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the rich cultural traditions of Rajasthan. Through graceful dance movements, lively music, and vibrant traditional costumes, the children gained a deeper appreciation of Rajasthan's cultural heritage. Under the guidance of the dance instructor, they enthusiastically participated in the dance session and learned a variety of traditional movements. The experience was further enhanced by a live musical performance by two talented musicians playing the ‘harmonium’ and ‘dhol’, creating an authentic and engaging cultural atmosphere. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and embraced the opportunity to learn about a different culture through music and dance. It was a memorable and enriching experience, and we look forward to more meaningful cultural collaborations with Atam Ltd in the future.
