Cherry Tomato Planting

Children watched the video of the process of planting the Cherry Tomatoes. After that they were encouraged to decorate their flower pots using crayons. Some decorated their class labels. They were divided into groups.
The children took turns to scoop the soil into the pots in each group.
Next, the children took turns to place the tomato seeds on the soil. Some were given half of cherry tomatoes and were encouraged to squeeze the seeds of the tomatoes on the soil.
The children took turns to water the plants
After finishing all the process, the children put their pots outside of the school. Children and teachers revisit their plants every other day and help to do watering and observation of their growth.
