As our SSDB project progresses, our N2 children learned about the importance of conserving water and how water plays an essential role in our daily lives, such as keeping us healthy and maintaining good personal hygiene.

The children came up with different ways they can help save water, such as using a cup of water when brushing their teeth, taking showers instead of baths, and collecting rainwater to water their plants.

To put their ideas into action, they even created their own rain gauge using a recycled bottle and pebbles to collect rainwater for their plants — learning that every little drop can be put to good use!

The children also learned about the important role trees play in our ecosystem, such as providing shelter for people and animals, providing us with food, and helping to keep the air we breathe clean.

To deepen their appreciation for trees, the children explored the different textures found in various parts of a tree, including its leaves, bark, and twigs. Using crayons and the rubbing technique, they transformed these natural textures into their very own works of art!
