Children learnt to care for the environment through discussions, stories, observation and a variety of hands-on experiences. They explored simple yet meaningful ways to care for the earth, such as reducing waste, recycling, conserving water and electricity, and keeping their surroundings clean. These experiences encouraged children to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and recognise that everyone has a role to play in creating a sustainable future. To consolidate their learning, the children worked together to create "Helping the Earth" posters, illustrating the different sustainable practices they had learned.
Taking their learning beyond the classroom, the children brought their posters into the neighbourhood and shared them with members of the community. This meaningful outreach experience provided them with an opportunity to act as young sustainability ambassadors, raising awareness about environmentally friendly habits and encouraging others to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. Through this experience, the children learnt that even small actions can make a positive difference and that caring for the environment is a collective responsibility shared by all.
