The children were presented with an ocean scene filled with trash and were invited to share what they noticed at the table. They observed the different types of rubbish and discussed how the ocean and marine life may be affected when trash is left behind.
The children then explored the idea of “What happens if everyone plays a part in picking up the trash?” They shared that the ocean would become cleaner and safer for marine animals. 🐠🐢
To put their ideas into action, the children worked together to turn trash into treasure through upcycling. They used recycled materials creatively to give them a new purpose, learning that items we no longer need can be transformed into something useful or meaningful instead of being thrown away.
Through this experience, the children developed an understanding that small actions, when everyone plays a part, can make a difference in caring for our oceans and our environment. 🌎💙
