The K1 children were introduced to the concept of “Ocean Savers” and “Ocean Hurters.” They discussed different actions that can help or harm our oceans and shared their ideas on why it is important to keep the ocean clean and safe for marine life.

During the activity, the K1 children were shown different scenarios such as throwing rubbish into the sea, leaving litter on the beach, picking up rubbish, recycling and using reusable items. They observed and discussed each scenario before sorting them into “Ocean Savers” or “Ocean Hurters.” The children also shared their reasons for their choices.

Through this lesson, the K1 children developed a better understanding of how their everyday actions can affect the environment. They learnt that they too can be Ocean Savers by making responsible choices, reducing waste and keeping their surroundings clean to help protect our oceans and marine life. 🌊
