To continue our goal of nurturing a love for reading, we set up our very own ‘Sunshine Community Library’ outside our centre! The library caters to Early Readers (0–3 years old) and Young Readers (4–6 years old), providing families with an opportunity to discover and enjoy books together.
Parents and children are invited to borrow or donate a book that they find interesting to add to our collection. To help us keep track of the books, parents can simply fill in a borrowing and donation form.
Our wonderful and supportive parents generously contributed to our growing book collection, making this community initiative possible. Beyond the library, we also organise bi-monthly Parent Reading Sessions to encourage families to share the joy of reading with our children.
We kicked off our first Parent Reading Sessions last 17 July and 31 July, and we are thrilled to have four more parent volunteers lined up for upcoming sessions until the end of our project! We look forward to continuing to build a vibrant reading community where children, parents and educators can come together to read, connect and grow through stories.
