♻️ SUSTAINABLE SINGAPORE GALLERY!
On Thursday, 4th June 2026, our K1 and K2 children embarked on an enriching field trip to the Sustainable Singapore Gallery as part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Project. This meaningful experience extended their learning beyond the classroom and allowed them to explore how we can care for our environment through simple, everyday actions.
🧵 CREATING WITH CARE AND CREATIVITY!
Off to a great start, the children explored how recycled materials can be reused to create something new. They had the opportunity to create a pouch using recycled cloth, encouraging creativity while learning the value of reusing materials instead of throwing them away.
🌱 EXPLORING SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH HANDS-ON LEARNING!
In another hands-on experience, the children engaged in interactive activities where they learned about recycling and the importance of sorting materials correctly. They actively took part in sorting items into the correct recycling bins, developing their understanding of how small actions can help reduce waste and protect our environment.
💧🌳 LEARNING ABOUT WATER AND OUR EARTH!
Through guided exploration, the children learned about where water comes from and why it is important to conserve it. They also discovered how trees and green spaces help make the Earth a better and healthier place to live, deepening their appreciation for nature.
🌍 KEY LEARNING TAKEAWAYS!
Through this field trip, children were able to:
— Identify sustainable practices such as recycling and saving water — Participate in hands-on activities that promote environmental care — Share simple green habits they can practise at home and in school
💬 REFLECTIONS
