We have now come to the conclusion of our SSDB 2026 project, “Hearts that Care, Kindness We Share,” with a special Kindness Day Parade that brought our whole school community together to spread kindness and gratitude throughout our community!
Before the parade, the children learned about the backbone of our community—the cleaners, cooks, nurses, doctors, drivers, police officers, and many other people who work hard every day to keep our community safe, healthy, and running smoothly. They then put their appreciation into action by creating heartfelt Thank-You Cards for these everyday heroes.
On the day of the parade, our children proudly wore their Kindness Shirts and Friendship Bracelets and walked alongside their teachers around the community. With smiles and thank-you cards in hand, they shared their appreciation with workers and members of the public.
Through this meaningful experience, our children discovered that kindness can be shared in small but meaningful ways. A simple smile, a heartfelt thank-you, or a thoughtful card can brighten someone’s day and make our community a little kinder.
After sharing their thoughts, ideas, and acts of kindness, our children were filled with excitement when they received a special reply from Singa!
The children proudly brought Singa’s reply home to share with their parents, showing them the special message and talking about their experience. It was a meaningful opportunity for the children to share their joy with their families and celebrate their kind actions together.
Through this special experience, our children were encouraged to continue showing care, appreciation, and kindness to the people around them—not only through big gestures, but also through the little things they do each day.
Keep spreading kindness, little hearts! Your kindness matters.
