As part of the SSDB theme, “With Every Child, We Shape Tomorrow”, our N2, K1 and K2 children from PCF SPARKLETOTS PRESCHOOL @ YUHUA BLK 264 collaborated with Al-Mukminin Kindergarten to organise a food donation drive for their community pantry.
The children learnt about the importance of caring for others and how sharing what we have can make a difference in someone’s life. Through simple conversations, they were encouraged to think about people in the community who may need a helping hand. With the support of their families, they brought food items such as canned food and biscuits to the school.
On 17th August 2026, the children brought the collected food items and walked to Al-Mukminin Mosque. They had the opportunity to meet members of the community and learn more about the community pantry. The children helped to place the food items in the community pantry.
Through this experience, they developed values such as kindness, empathy and gratitude. We hope that this experience will inspire our children to continue showing kindness, caring for others and making a positive difference wherever they can.
