As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2026 journey, our K1 and K2 children had a meaningful learning experience with the Singapore Red Cross Junior Programme. During the special mascot visit, the children were introduced to the importance of helping and caring for others, as well as simple life-saving skills that they can practise even at a young age.
The Singapore Red Cross volunteers demonstrated basic bandaging techniques and guided the children through a hands-on bandaging activity. The children were excited to participate and had the opportunity to practise the steps with guidance from the volunteers. Through this experience, they learnt that simple acts of care and kindness can make a difference when someone is hurt or needs help.
The session also provided opportunities for the children to learn about safety and helping others through engaging demonstrations and video presentations. It was an enjoyable and meaningful experience that encouraged our young learners to develop empathy, confidence and a caring attitude towards the people around them
