Meeting the Supermons!

We introduced the project by familiarising the children with the Supermons through an interactive storytelling session using the book “Ash and the Supermons” provided by PHC. During the session, children listened attentively and were encouraged to share their thoughts, make predictions, and talk about the characters.

The children were introduced to key Supermons such as Trayemon, Trashemon, and Toilemon. Through guided discussion, they learned that Trayemon reminds us to return our trays after eating, Trashemon encourages us to dispose of our rubbish properly, and Toilemon teaches us to keep the toilet clean and practise good hygiene.

Children made simple connections to their own daily routines in school, such as cleaning up after meals and keeping shared spaces tidy. This helped them better understand how their actions can contribute to a clean and healthy environment, forming a meaningful foundation for the project.

Following the storytelling session, children were given the opportunity to colour the Supermons using resources provided by PHC. This allowed them to become more familiar with characters such as Trayemon, Trashemon, and Toilemon while expressing their creativity through colours.

As they coloured, children engaged in simple conversations about the roles of each Supermon, reinforcing habits like returning trays, disposing of rubbish properly, and keeping shared spaces clean. The activity also supported the development of fine motor skills as children practised control and coordination when handling colouring tools.of rubbish properly, and keeping shared spaces clean. Children also engaged in a maze activity, helping Trayemon, Trashemon, and Toilemon find their way to the correct destinations. This encouraged them to think about directions and make decisions while reinforcing their understanding of each Supermon’s role.

Through the Supermons stories and engaging resources provided by the Public Hygiene Council, the children had the opportunity to learn about the different Supermons and the important values they represent. Beyond enjoying the stories and activities, the children were encouraged to think about how their everyday actions can make a difference in keeping their surroundings clean and pleasant. Through these meaningful learning experiences, the children are taking their first steps towards becoming responsible and caring members of the community.
