And the story continued… 💛
After weeks of preparing their handmade gifts and thank-you letters, the children were excited to welcome their families and community partners to our Family Sports Day. The morning was filled with laughter, movement and plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy time with one another.
We were honoured to have Mr Lee Hong Chuang as our Guest of Honour, who joined us in celebrating this special occasion with our children and families.
The morning began with an energetic Zumba session, where children, parents and teachers danced along to the music. Families then explored a variety of game booths prepared by our teachers and community partners, including an exciting basketball game, balloon sculpting, badge-making and colouring activities. Each booth offered a different experience for families to enjoy and explore.
Our community partners — Hong Kah North Community Club, Singapore Heart Foundation, ECF, MSF Families for Life, Airtumtec, Suu Balm and Vytle — brought their own activities and experiences to the event, making the day even more engaging for our children and families.
One of the highlights for the children was presenting their handmade clay trinkets and thank-you letters to our community partners. The question they had asked earlier, “How can we show our appreciation?”, had become a thoughtful gesture they could share with others.
The day ended on a happy note as the children received goodie bags prepared with the support of our collaborative partners. Their excitement was a lovely way to wrap up a morning filled with play, creativity and connection.
Through this experience, the children discovered that kindness and appreciation can be expressed in many ways — by creating something for someone, sharing an experience or simply taking the time to say thank you.
From little hands creating with care to big hearts celebrating, our Family and Friends journey came full circle, leaving us with wonderful memories to cherish. 💛
