For the past 4 months, the children had a variety of activities to strengthen their understanding of how animals and humans can live harmoniously in society.

Here are some of the activities that we had.

The playgroups created houses for the animals and demonstrated different ways to take care of the animals too.

The children from preschool years were also exposed to rescuing animals activities to know the value and importance of animals as part of the community.

As part of our project, the children made posters to raise awareness on how we can help the animals and how we can live harmoniously with them. The children chose from the set of animal native wildlife (Long-tailed Macaques, Civets, Wild Pigs, Bats, Snakes, Pigeons, Otters, and Monitor Lizards) and created a simple craft. K2 children made a book about their chosen animals.

Each craft/book has a QR code that will show important information about the animal such as where can we find them, what they eat, and advisory on what we can do when we encounter them around Singapore.

The craft will be used for our Human-Wildlife Campaign.

The Preschool Years children had a short session with the Animal Concern Research and Education Society (ACRES) on 7th August (Monday). The session focused on how animals and humans can coexist and its benefits. It also includes the Do’s and Don’ts when encountering native wildlife in Singapore.

The children are all excited for our Start Small Dream Big Finale which will be on 19 August. They are all enthusiastic about raising awareness and funds to help animals through our partnered organisation - Animal Concern and Research Education Society (ACRES).
