As part of programme sharing, the children visited the residents at St Luke's. They were excited to become young ambassadors and share awareness about the Long-tailed Macaque.

The visit began with the teacher reading the storybook Macaques in Our Estate to the residents. The children listened together with the residents and enjoyed sharing the story about Singapore's native wildlife.

After the story, the children confidently shared the dos and don'ts when meeting a Long-tailed Macaque in the wild. They reminded the elderly to stay calm, keep a safe distance, avoid feeding the macaques, and not to carry plastic bags or food openly when they are near macaques. The children were proud to pass on what they had learned from their classroom lessons and zoo visit.

To end the visit, the children and the elderly worked together to create postcards about the Long-tailed Macaque. They coloured the art and decorated the card, and shared messages about caring for wildlife and living peacefully with macaques. This meaningful activity gave the children an opportunity to teach others while building friendships across generations. It also helped the elderly learn more about Singapore's native wildlife through the children's eyes.
