In line with Labour Day, we collaborated with Allkin Active Ageing Centre @ Punggol Blk 677B to celebrate and appreciate the hard work and contributions of people in our community.
Prior to the event, the children were actively involved in the preparations by decorating the event backdrop and personalising paper bags to create goodie bags for the seniors. Through these meaningful preparations, they expressed their creativity, care and appreciation while looking forward to sharing a special time with the seniors.
Our N2s and K1s proudly participated in a Community Helpers Fashion Show, showcasing their DIY costumes and vehicles created together with their parents.
Then, they sang and danced joyfully to the song “Roll Over the Ocean”, spreading the meaningful message of building a caring and connected community through love, kindness and togetherness. The seniors enjoyed the performance and enthusiastically cheered the children on.
To end the meaningful celebration, each child presented a goodie bag to the seniors and interacted with them using kind words and thoughtful gestures, showing care, respect and appreciation for the seniors. Through the interaction, both the children and seniors shared joyful moments, strengthening intergenerational bonds and appreciation for one another. ❤️
