Growing Sustainably with Citrus

The children explored sustainability by learning how to reduce food waste and reuse materials. After making their citrus juice, they collected the seeds and planted them in orange peel bowls as natural containers for their plants. Through this hands-on activity, the children learned about the four basic conditions plants need to grow: sunlight, water, air, soil and care. They also discovered how items that might otherwise be thrown away can be given a new purpose, making small steps towards caring for our environment. Good job, everyone!
