Every Drop Counts - Caring for Water, Caring for Our World: World Water Day; Water Wednesdays (Phase 1)

To commemorate World Water Day, we kicked off Phase 1 of our Start Small Dream Big project, Every Drop Counts – Caring for Water, Caring for Our World, with a series of Water Wednesdays activities.

With the help of PUB's mascots, Water Wally and Water Sally, the children embarked on a fun and meaningful journey to learn about water conservation and the importance of saving water in their daily lives.

On 4 March and 11 March, the children learnt the dance to "Turn Off The Tap", reinforcing simple water-saving habits through music and movement. They also expressed their creativity by making Water Wally and Water Sally headgear crafts, helping them connect with the water-saving messages in an engaging and memorable way.

On 18 March, we celebrated the launch of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project with a fun-filled SSDB Launch Party. Children and staff came dressed in blue to show their support for water conservation.

Through the launch event, children learnt the importance of being responsible in the way they use water and that every individual can make a positive difference through small daily actions. The children enthusiastically performed the SSDB theme song, "Step by Step", as well as "Turn Off the Tap", sharing important messages about water conservation through music and movement.

As part of the celebration, the children also made a Water Conservation Pledge, committing to being responsible water users both at home and in school. To round off the event, they participated in a water conservation exercise where they put their learning into practice and experienced firsthand how responsible choices can help conserve water.

The launch party reminded our children that every drop counts and that responsible actions can make a difference.
