To kick start the Start Small Dream Big project, our centre (PCF SparkleTots @ Kampong Chai Chee, Block 409) will do its part towards the Sustainable Singapore Movement by leading its own mini campaign “Earth’s Mini Superheroes” for the children.
The campaign was launched on Earth Day (22 April 2019), with the children taking part in
an Earth Hour (by turning off the lights, fan, aircon, and other non-critical electronic devices)
as a symbol of commitment to contribute to a sustainable Singapore. The children learned about the importance of saving the earth and what contributes to global warming through the story “Stay Cool Cody”.
During the earth hour experience, the children created and decorated their personal Earth Day book to spread awareness of saving the earth to their families.
The children used recycled materials to create the “Earth’s Mini Superheroes” banner and did hand printing onto the banner as a pledge to play their part in saving the Earth.
