Caring for our Community Garden

"As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) journey, our little heroes discovered how they can play a part in caring for the environment through simple, everyday actions.

The children took responsibility for caring for our garden by watering the plants and helping to keep the garden area clean and tidy. Through this hands-on experience, they learnt that plants need regular care, water and a clean environment to grow well.

As they cared for the garden together, the children had opportunities to practise responsibility and develop an appreciation for the nature around them. They also learnt that even small actions, such as watering a plant or keeping the garden clean, are meaningful ways of caring for their environment."
