A visit to St. Luke's Elder Care

As part of our Kindness to the community project, the children had the opportunity to support St Luke's ElderCare through a meaningful donation drive and visit. The children participated in collecting and packing the donated items into goodies for the elderly.

During the visit, the children performed songs, created simple bottle shakers, and played games together with the elderly. The activities provided opportunities for the children to interact, communicate, and build connections with the elderly in a fun and meaningful way.

Throughout the experience, we emphasised that showing kindness is not only about what we do, but also how we speak and interact with others. The children were encouraged to use kind words, speak politely, and ask for permission before offering help or interacting with the elderly.

The visit helped the children understand that even simple actions, such as sharing a song, making something together, offering help respectfully, or spending time with someone, can make others feel happy, valued, and cared for. It was a meaningful experience that allowed the children to put their learning about kindness into action.
