The K2A children decorated a postcard and wrote little notes to their favourite grandparent.  They thought about what they wanted to convey to their grandparent and wrote them on their postcards.

Through this activity, the children learnt about how mails are being delivered.  Teacher Aisyah explained that a postcard is slightly different from a letter and that the address on the postcard are to be written at the side of their notes.  She also explained the importance of writing the address to the receiver clearly so that the letter gets sent to the right person.

The children made their way to the nearest postbox to have their postcards delivered.  As some of the children’s grandparents are residing overseas, Teacher Aisyah used that opportunity to explain that mails can be sent to a local address or an overseas address as indicated on the postbox.  She also highlighted that it is important to insert their postcards in the right slot so that their mails don’t get “lost”.

The children took turns to mail their postcards and waited eagerly for their grandparent to receive them.
