“Together for Our Earth, A Fashion Show with Heart!” - One Heart, One Singapore #SSDB2025

To celebrate our ongoing efforts in sustainability and creative expression, PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Bukit Timah Blk 305 held a joyful Eco Fashion Show on 25 April 2025 bringing together children, parents, and teachers in a meaningful and fun-filled event.

In the weeks leading up to the show, children explored the idea of recycling, reusing, and reducing waste through stories, hands-on activities, and discussions. With growing excitement, they shared ideas with their families and began working on their very own eco-friendly costumes—made entirely from recycled or repurposed materials found at home!

What made this event truly special was the strong support and involvement of our parents. Families collaborated to create imaginative and thoughtful designs: from newspaper gowns and bottle-cap armor to cardboard robots and plastic-bag capes. Many parents shared how this activity sparked important conversations at home about protecting the Earth and thinking creatively.

On the big day, the school hall transformed into a lively runway. Each child, accompanied by their parent, proudly walked down the “red carpet,” showcasing their eco-costume with confidence and flair. Laughter, cheers, and applause filled the room as children twirled, posed, and shared what their costumes were made of.

Through this event, our children not only expressed creativity but also gained a deeper understanding of how small actions—like reusing materials—can help care for the planet. Most importantly, they experienced the joy of working together with loved ones toward a shared goal.
