The children came to school with recyclable items from home, ready to put their Zero Waste Ranger skills into action! Together, we headed outdoors and carefully placed the recyclables into the recycling bin.

The children were excited to see how everyday items such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes and paper materials can be collected for recycling. Through this meaningful hands-on experience, they learned that recycling starts with simple actions and that everyone can play a part in caring for our environment.

Small actions, big impact — our little Zero Waste Rangers are making a difference!

The children teamed up as Zero Waste Rangers to sort and organise different items into the correct recycling categories. Working together, they identified where each item belonged and carefully placed them in the appropriate bins.

Through this hands-on activity, the children strengthened their teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving skills while learning that sorting waste correctly is an important step towards caring for our environment.
