We explored the topic of water conservation and caring for our environment through fun activities at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Marina Barrage.
During the excursion, the children participated in an upcycling activity where they transformed used clothing materials into their own pouches. Through this meaningful experience, the children learnt how old items can be reused creatively instead of being thrown away. The children also explored sorting different types of rubbish into the correct recycling bins, helping them better understand the importance of recycling and caring for the environment responsibly.
As part of the guided gallery tour, the children learnt about Singapore’s 4 National Taps and discovered where our rubbish goes after it is thrown away. The interactive exhibits sparked many curious questions and meaningful conversations as the children connected the learning to their own daily habits and choices.
Throughout the excursion, the children demonstrated our HERO value of Empathic Thinkers as they reflected on how their actions can impact the environment and explored ways to care for the world around them. It was a meaningful day filled with exploration, discovery, and thoughtful learning experiences together.
