After the successful germination of our watermelon plants, we partnered with nParks who gifted us with  proceeded to plant chilli, brinjals, tomatoes, ladyfingers and cucumbers.Oh no! Our little heroes noticed that something has been munching the leaves of our vegetables! The children noticed that there are holes in the leaves and some plants were eaten bare!

Hence, after consulting with nParks, the children covered the planters with white nettings to protect the plants from being further ravaged by pests. They also sprayed organic Neem oil on the plants to deter pests from coming for the plants.
