Trash Travels - Parent & Child Beach Cleanup

What better way to reiterate about ocean pollution than getting children to see it for themselves?!

So on a good Saturday, our children along with their supportive parents joined their teachers at East Coast Park.

Geared with tongs & pails, children got to see for themselves what ocean pollution is about. Not only the children but even the adults learned that plastic breaks down into microplastics. There is so much of it and that it can’t never be truly cleaned.

Nevertheless, our children did the best they could and we are hopeful that what they have learned in this SSDB journey will stay with them.

To close this SSDB project, children made a drawing of what they felt while cleaning the beach.
