TOUCH Child Care (Hougang & Clementi) — Caring for Others: Appreciating Our Bus Captains

During the June holidays, every child in TOUCH Child Care designed an appreciation message on a special rainbow scratch card. The craft was part of Kindness Day SG 2019 to appreciate our bus captains.

Our K2 children from TCC Hougang and Clementi then visited the Hougang bus interchange and Clementi bus interchange respectively, as representives of both Centres to thank and give the completed cards to the bus captains.

At the bus interchange, our children were given the privilege to have a peek at the offices and resting areas of the bus captains. They were buzzing with excitement at the opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes of a bus captain’s day at work, besides them being at the steering wheel.

The experience deepened our children’s sense of appreciation towards our public transport staff and made the task of thanking and giving the cards to them even more meaningful.

The warm and friendly smiles from the bus captains were a huge encouragement to our children, which definitely made the experience of appreciating the bus captains a memorable one.
