Here is our school’s official banner for this year’s Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Project 2026! Guided by the theme “Together We Care Today, For a Kinder Tomorrow,” our children will embark on a meaningful journey to learn about kindness, empathy, respect, and the importance of caring for the elders in our community. Through stories, play, hands-on activities, family involvement, and special moments with our senior friends, our little ones will discover that even small acts of care can bring big smiles and make a difference. 💛 Let’s come together to nurture caring hearts today—for a kinder tomorrow!

SSDB Role-Play Kit: Learning about care can be hands-on, meaningful, and full of fun! 💛 Our children explored the “I Care for the Elders” Mobile Play Kit through engaging role-play and empathy activities. From trying tasks with “stiff hands” gloves and “foggy eyes” goggles to practising how to greet, help, listen, and speak kindly, the children experienced simple ways elders may need extra support in their daily lives. Through play, the children discovered that a gentle voice, patient listening, helping hands, and a warm smile can make a big difference. #StartSmallDreamBig
Mobile Play Kit (Infant): A little basket of stories, smiles, and caring moments for our youngest learners! 💛 Our infants explored the “I Care for the Elders” Mobile Play Kit through cosy story time and gentle puppet play. Inside the basket were specially selected storybooks and two friendly elder puppets—a grandfather and grandmother—who helped bring conversations about family, kindness, and caring to life. Through looking at pictures, listening to stories, touching the puppets, and responding to warm, familiar words such as “Ah Gong,” “Ah Ma,” “hello,” and “gentle hands,” our infants began building positive connections with elders in a safe and meaningful way. Small hands, big hearts, and a wonderful beginning to caring for others!
Elders Visit: What a joyful morning of friendship, fun, and fitness! 💛 Our school was delighted to welcome the elders for a meaningful intergenerational visit. The children and seniors enjoyed a lively storytelling session, played games together, and even joined in our morning workout—stretching, moving, and smiling side by side! To end the celebration on a heartfelt note, the children presented their handmade cards to the elders as a small token of love, appreciation, and care. It was wonderful to see young and old connecting through laughter, movement, stories, and kindness. Thank you to our special guests for spending this memorable morning with us. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
arent Engagement: Our SSDB learning journey became even more meaningful with the support of our families! 💛 Through our parent engagement activity, children had the opportunity to talk with their loved ones about the elders in their families and community. Together, they shared photographs, stories, memories, and simple acts of kindness—helping our little ones understand that caring for elders begins at home. These precious family conversations and contributions brought our project theme, “Together We Care Today, For a Kinder Tomorrow,” to life. Thank you, parents and caregivers, for partnering with us to nurture empathy, gratitude, and caring hearts in our children!
Field Trip with Sparkle Care Elders: Field Trip Fun at the Flower Dome! 🌸 Our N2 children had a wonderful and memorable visit to the Flower Dome, together with the elders from Sparkle Care. As they explored the colourful displays and beautiful plants, the children eagerly took part in a little “flower hunt,” spotting different blooms and sharing their discoveries along the way. The most meaningful part of the trip was seeing the children and elders walking, chatting, and enjoying the experience together. It was a lovely day of nature, discovery, friendship, and special intergenerational moments! 💛
SSDB Lesson: Our SSDB lessons are in full swing! 💛 Through stories, picture discussions, KWL charts, mind maps, role-play, hands-on activities, and creative art experiences, our children have been exploring what it means to care for the elders in our families and community. From sharing what they know about Ah Gong and Ah Ma to discovering simple ways to show kindness—such as greeting warmly, speaking gently, listening patiently, and lending a helping hand—our children are learning that every caring action matters. These meaningful learning experiences bring our SSDB theme, “Together We Care Today, For a Kinder Tomorrow,” to life as we nurture empathy, respect, gratitude, and compassionate hearts in our young children.
