The children explored sustainable gardening by regrowing vegetables using a simple hydroponic method. They discussed how vegetables can continue to grow from leftover stems and roots instead of being thrown away. After using the vegetables for cooking, the children carefully cut and plucked the required parts for regrowing. They filled recycled bottles with water, placed the vegetable cuttings inside, and labelled their own bottles. Each day, the children observed and cared for their plants, looking out for new roots and leaves. They also learned to change the water regularly to keep it clean and prevent mosquito breeding, developing responsibility and environmental awareness.
