Term 1, K1 Tomato Planting

In Term 1, the children planted and cared for their tomato plant. They began by placing a ripe tomato into the soil and placing it in the neighbourhood garden where it could receive sunlight. The children watered the plant regularly and observed how it gradually grew. Through this hands-on experience, they witnessed the plant grow from a tomato into a small plant. This activity also introduced children to the concept of sustainability, helping them understand how caring for plants, nature, and the environment supports a greener and healthier community.
