The Rasa Project brought parents and children together in a fun, hands-on sensory food experience where curiosity, discovery and connection took centre stage. Through playful activities, families explored different foods using their senses, encouraged children to be open to trying new flavours and textures, and discovered how small choices can contribute to a more sustainable food culture in Singapore. The highlight was the opportunity for parents and children to learn and experiment side-by-side, sharing laughter, observations and “I never knew that!” moments along the way.
Families also learnt about food waste and participated in a hands-on vermicomposting activity, discovering how food scraps can be transformed into something useful for the environment. Beyond the workshop itself, the experience empowered children to see that they too can make a difference—starting with small actions at home, with their families, that can grow into big dreams for a greener future.
