SSBD 2020 - Thanking our Unsung Heros

Often times, we forget the people behind the scenes who helped us in making Singapore a clean and green environment, and those who worked hard to make sure that in the pandemic outbreak, we remain safe and healthy.

While keeping that heart of thanksgiving in mind, My Jolly children thought about the unsung heroes that they have in mind, and made cards to thank them for their hard work, keeping everyone safe despite risking their lives in the midst of Circuit Breaker during the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore.

The PG and N1 children painted cards of appreciation for our Unsung Heroes!

The N2 made decorative cards of their own to show their appreciation for our Unsung Heroes!

As a form of reinforcing the importance of wearing the face masks or face shield, our children chose their favorite pictures and colored them nicely before pasting it up on their face shields.

Our N2 also had activities to teach them about proper Hand Hygiene!

The Kindergarten children drew pictures of the Unsung Heroes that they are thankful for, such as the Doctors, Nurses, Bus Drivers, Cleaners and many more, and even wrote messages on their own!

Besides that, while learning about the importance of Hand Hygiene, the children created their art piece to show how dirty own hands can be if we didn’t wash or sanitize our hands regularly.

Overall, in the midst of building a heart of gratitude in the hearts of these children, the children had also understood that we shouldn’t be taking things for granted and always live a life of thanksgiving to whoever is around us, because they contributed in building a better nation and country for all of us.
