Small Hands, Big Hearts: Together We Shape Tomorrow

As part of Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2026, M.Y World Preschool @ Woodlands proudly continued our partnership with the Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) (DSA) for the fourth consecutive year. Through this year's SSDB project, we focused on nurturing the values of Love, Kindness, Empathy and Care, inspiring our children to make a positive difference in their community through meaningful acts of giving.

On 26 June 2026, children and their families came together for our SSDB Open House cum Fundraising Event, enjoying hands-on activities such as decorating tote bags, creating jewellery dishes, and preparing healthy juices and rainbow fruit cups. The event received overwhelming support from our families, enabling us to achieve and exceed our fundraising target of $500, raising a total of $597. Children also had the meaningful opportunity to accompany their teachers to bank in the proceeds, learning that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference. All funds raised were donated to the Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) to support its programmes and services.

Beyond fundraising, the event provided meaningful opportunities for families to bond through creative and healthy activities that can be easily continued at home. Children experienced the joy of giving, developed a greater appreciation for inclusion and kindness, and discovered that even small hands can make a big difference when guided by big hearts.
