Our K2 children, together with seven wonderful parent volunteers, rolled up their sleeves and got their hands busy with a meaningful planting and potting activity! 🌿 This hands-on experience was an extension of our learning about caring for and protecting the environment, while connecting with our ongoing inquiry about bees. Through planting, the children discovered that flowers and plants are important not only to humans, but also provide food and support for insects such as bees. 🐝🌼
The children also learned that small actions can make a big difference. By caring for plants and reusing plastic bottles as planters, they explored how they can contribute as young environmental stewards while giving everyday materials a new purpose. With the support of our parent volunteers, the children experienced the joy of planting, caring, and growing together reminding us that even the smallest hands can help nurture a greener world. 💚
