Playgroup & Pre-Nursery Playdate

The Playgroup and Pre-Nursery children, together with their parents, had an enjoyable Playdate cum Field Trip at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park where they explored Nature Learning through meaningful hands-on experiences. The session began with an introduction to what a playdate is and how Nature Learning helps children discover and appreciate the environment around them. The children participated in a leaf rubbing activity where they placed dry leaves under paper and used crayons of their choice to create beautiful leaf patterns and textures. Parents were also introduced to the 3N Strategy – Notice, Nudge and Narrate – where they observed their children’s interests, asked questions, and narrated their children’s responses and observations. Together, the families went on a nature walk around the park to collect leaves, twigs, and flowers to create their own DIY Nature Globe. The activity encouraged children to explore nature using their senses while strengthening parent-child interaction and communication. The playdate ended with a “Buzz It” sharing session where parents and guardians reflected on their observations, experiences, and learning moments with their children.
