This is the second year that our centre, PCF Sparkletots Preschool @Kembangan Chai Chee Blk 341 Ubi Avenue 1 is collaborating with PCF Sparklecare @Eunos Blk 650.
On 14 June 2022, both our preschool and the senior care centre watched an interactive kindness puppet show together, organised by the Singapore Kindness Movement.
On 5 July 2022, we had our 2nd session via Zoom with the senior care centre for the activity of Puppet Making Session.
Prior to the second session, collection baskets were placed at the school entrance. We had our SSDB launching with parents on 23 April 2022 and had informed parents of our plan. A notice was placed to inform parents regarding the recyclable and scrap materials collection. After almost 2 months, the baskets were filled with cleaned plastic bottles, tissue boxes and kitchen/toilet roll cores and half of the collection were sent to the senior care.
During the session, the children and elderlies were engaged in making their own puppets with the materials provided and also interact with one another.
With the puppet they made, we are planning to have our own puppet show by the children and elderlies for the upcoming session.
