Start Small Dream Big gave the children an opportunity to show care, love, and respect for everyone around them. For this year’s project theme, we chose Showing Appreciation for the Elderly.
It all started with one centre and has now grown into a collaboration with 3 more centres spreading love, care, respect, and appreciation for the elderly in our communities.
The children launched this year’s SSDB project with a celebration for their grandparents on Grandparent’s Day in March, a day to spend time with, celebrate, and show appreciation for our beloved grandparents. The children danced, played games, and had a picnic with their grandparents. To show their appreciation, the children made paper bouquets and prepared a mini presentation for their grandparents.
The children also visited Sparkle Care @ Kreta Ayer where they spent time with the elderly. They did an arts and craft activities with the elderly and played games with them. The children enjoyed spending time with their new found friends in Sparkle Care.
