During Term 3, the children learnt about critically endangered animals, the causes of animal extinction and the impact of pollution on their habitats. Through classroom discussions and learning activities, they developed an understanding of the importance of protecting wildlife and caring for the environment. The children explored how human actions can affect animals and their surroundings, and discussed simple ways to reduce pollution and keep the environment clean.
To extend their learning beyond the classroom, the children participated in a beach clean-up at Pasir Ris Park together with their parents. This hands-on experience provided opportunities for the children to apply their knowledge, practise teamwork and develop a sense of responsibility towards nature. They worked alongside their families to collect litter and help maintain a cleaner beach environment.
Through this experience, the children learnt that everyone has a role to play in protecting nature. The project encouraged them to become more environmentally aware and understand how small, meaningful actions can contribute to a cleaner and greener tomorrow.
